Raft Up SUP-er Challenge Dogs’ Refuge Home fundraiser

Get on board for a good cause to help needy paws!

Join PUPS on SUPS for a RAFT UP SUP-ER CHALLENGE fundraiser where we will attempt to get as many dogs on boards as possible! Don’t worry, we have a plan but like all good plans things can go wrong – right?

And…. the great thing about fund raisers is that we can do really whacky things all for a good cause! Proceeds of the day will be donated to the Dogs’ Refuge Home, Shenton Park. We’re grateful for the wonderful work they do and appreciate the many selfless hours that the volunteers put in to care for these dogs in need. They need our help to continue their amazing work and to spread awareness about the adoption of rescue dogs!

We’ll be running our normal session from 8.00 am – 9.00 am and the SUP-ER CHALLENGE will commence at 9.30 am – 10.15 am with a team of humans to assist us for a sensational photo!

We have 10 paddle boards ready and waiting for the BIG RAFT CHALLENGE!!

Be prepared to get wet!

There’ll be a lot of splashing, laughing and mishaps for sure!

Paddling will resume from 11.00 am for puppers & general hire and we’ll have a $2.00 sausage sizzle with proceeds going to the Dogs’ Refuge Home!

All sessions will be discounted to $20 and newbies are welcome as an introduction to this amazing activity that you can do with your dog!! If we have boards available you can continue to paddle for the duration of the morning. Our crew will be on the water supervising and keep everyone safe!

Spectators welcome, bring a chair and make yourself comfy under the Casuarina tree!

How to book

Head to the ticket link and you can choose your option!

Please bring a change of clothes, cash, card for payment, coins for the sausage sizzle, water, sun protective clothing, hat and a sense of humour!

Now for the serious stuff

If your dog is not trained or socialised please consider whether this will be a suitable activity for you both. You may wish to book a one to one lesson first to see how your best mate will take to the water on a stand up paddle board and practice some tips to encourage familiarity and confidence. We also encourage first time paddlers to have lessons without your dog first to ensure you have basic paddling skills and water safety awareness that will make your session much easier. We highly recommend SaltyDog life jackets, also available for purchase on the day.

You will need to sign a disclaimer prior to this session. This event may be cancelled and or rescheduled due to unsuitable weather or unforeseen events.
